On the 4th of February 2023, The parish of St Mary, Mays Hill gathered together for our annual parish cruise. We gathered at Huntleys Point wharf and sailed away towards Sydney Harbour. God graced us with wonderful weather on this late summer night, and everyone had a blast singing, dancing and socialising with other members of our beloved Parish. St Mary Annual Family Christmas Carnival 2022

On Saturday the 3rd of December 2022, the Parish of St. Mary, Mays Hill held their annual Family Christmas Carnival on the church grounds. This was the first parish Christmas Carnival held since Covid19 hit. We would like to thank our parish priests, Fr. George and Fr. On November 15th every year, we begin the 40-day fixed Nativity Fast, concluding on the December 24th, which is the 4th major feast of the new calendar year. As one of the four main fast periods throughout the ecclesiastical year, the Nativity Fast gives individuals the opportunity to prepare for the Feast of the Divine Incarnation and Nativity of Our Lord and Saviour in the Flesh on December 25. St Mary Annual Parish Party (Hafleh) 2022

On Saturday the 17th of September 2022, the Parish of St. Mary, Mays Hill held their annual parish party (hafleh) on the church grounds. This was the first parish party held since 2019, and it was a welcomed breath of fresh air . From dancing under the moonlight, to lighting barbecues, and jumping castles, all ages alike were involved in celebrating our church of the Nativity of the Theotokos. The Exaltation of the Cross is celebrated on the 14th of September, and is one of the 12 major feasts within the Church Calendar, and is the 2nd feast we celebrate in our new liturgical year.   The Exaltation, or Elevation of the Cross refers to the revelation and discovery of three crosses by St Helen in the year 326AD.
